John is a 1973 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and received his mortuary science degree from the American Academy - McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York, New York. He has been a licensed Funeral Director in Connecticut since 1985. 

John and his wife Beth, have two children, Drew and Paige. They currently reside in the town of Cheshire.
