Naugatuck, Connecticut: William “Bill” E. Stults, Sr., 84 passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at UCONN Health at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving Husband of (the late) Carolyn (Freer) Stults.
Bill was born September 4, 1941, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The son of the late Charles and Arlene (Ellis) Stults. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964 at The Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas. After serving, Bill chose a career as an Autobody Technician. Upon retirement, his love of cars continued as he was an avid hobbyist of small-scale plastic model cars. His greatest joy though, was to spend time with his wife, family, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He will be remembered for his unconditional love and his famous phrase, “I love you, always have always will.”
Bill is survived by his children, a son, William E. Stults, Jr., and his significant other, Lori Hamel and her grandson Lucas; his daughters, Lori Stults; Amy Volovski and her significant other Gus Lopez; and Emily Kausyla and her significant other Jeramy Marshall; six grandchildren: Jimmy, Jakob, Grace, David, Zachary, Seth, and his great granddaughter Genevieve, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two sisters Charlene H. Bannister and her husband Lawrence and Barbara DeSanti and her late husband Ralph.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exceptional care from the employees of both Glendale Medical Center in Naugatuck and at UCONN Health at Waterbury Hospital.
Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 9 to 11 am at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave in Naugatuck. At 11 am, a funeral service will be held. Committal will be held at the convenience of the family.
