Vivian M. Aston

Vivian Marie Aston, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023, in Jupiter, Florida, surrounded by her family.

Vivian was born on October 21, 1948, in Waterbury, Connecticut to Joe and Marie Geigle. She met her husband when she was 17 years old. They met on the beach, where Ed fell head over heels for the beautiful girl in the white swimsuit. They married in 1970, and went on to have two sons, Ed, and Brian. Devoted to her husband and children, Vivian balanced her career as a loan officer at a credit union with raising her family in Cheshire, Connecticut.

She is predeceased by her son, Ed, who passed away in 2014.

Vivian is survived by her loving husband, Edward of 53 years; her son, Brian, and daughter-in-law Sally; her sister, Jan, and brother-in-law Dave; her brother, Ray; her nieces, Deanne, Audra, Elizabeth, Christine, Cheryl, and Lisa and one grand-dog, Ollie. In addition to her sons and husband, Vivian built a special relationship with her mother-in-law, Sarah (Nan), whom she treated as her own mother. Vivian looked after Nan for over 25 years, bonding over a shared addiction to Dunkin Donuts coffee and weekly appointments at the nail salon.

In retirement, Vivian and Ed moved to Sea Colony in Jupiter, Florida, where Vivian became the heart and soul of her community. Her annual Christmas party was a beloved neighborhood tradition, reflecting her commitment to creating connections and supporting those around her.

Vivian was an exceptional tennis player. Behind her deceptively sweet smile was a formidable competitor who regularly crushed opponents far younger than her. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she made delicious cookies that no amount of willpower could resist.

Vivian's presence was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was selfless, resilient, and possessed a wicked sense of humor. Vivian's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate to know her.

Arrangements: Friends may greet her family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, on Saturday afternoon, January 6, 2024, from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life for Vivian was held on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center in North Palm Beach, Florida.
