Victor Manuel Buchelli, Jr.

Victor Manuel Buchelli, Jr., 62, of Naugatuck, passed away on June
6, 2023. Victor was born on December 11, 1960, in Stamford, CT to
Benigna Avila and the late Victor Manuel Buchelli, Sr. Victor was a
spiritual person whose faith was very important to him. He was
kind, thoughtful and sentimental and always remembered
everyone’s birthdays. Victor had a sense of humor and loved making
people laugh with his jokes and quirky behavior. He was a U.S.
Veteran who served in the Marines and received the Presidential
physical fitness award. He graduated from the Connecticut Institute
of Hair Design, Inc., in 2012. He was an advocate for mental health
and substance use disorder awareness and dedicated much of his
time to Laurel House in Stamford and the Independence Center in
Waterbury, CT.
He was a storyteller and wrote many articles and stories about life,
politics, and behavioral health that were published in local
community service newsletters. The Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT
was lucky to have Victor as an usher for their events. He had high
aspirations to travel the world and was a music lover who preferred
rock and roll and funk. His other interests included photography,
genealogy, and volunteering with Alcohol Anonymous (AA). Victor
was a wonderful son, brother and friend, and his absence will be
deeply felt by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Benigna, Victor leaves behind his siblings,
David Buchelli, John Buchelli, Zoila Buchelli Croke and her husband
Tim, and Marianne Buchelli (Joseph Jablonsky); nephews and niece,
Donald Pasiak, Joshua (Tai) Pasiak and their sons Aidian and
Demetri, Denise (Patrick Norton) Soucy and Jacob Loubier; uncle,
Vidal (Teresa) Avila; cousins, Rony (Irma) Avila and their children,
Octavio, Rony Jr, Veronica, and Ariana (deceased); Ever (Nelcia)
Avila and their child, Nolan, Conzuelo Salas, Dolores Salas, Victor
(Evelyn) Salas and their children Evelyn Grace and Emily Ann; and
extended families, Lagos and Friere-Buchelli. Not to be forgotten,
Victor also leaves his beloved fur-babies, his cats, Susie, and Charlie.
