Vera R. Segall

Vera R. Segall, 97, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. Born May 9, 1928, in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Rebecca Rabinow and sister to the late Judith Burstein and Hirschel Rabinow.

Vera earned her bachelor’s degree from the Teachers College of Connecticut and dedicated her life to family, community, and friendship. She was first married to Louis Posin of Waterbury, Connecticut until his untimely passing in 1967, and is survived by their three children and their spouses: Harry Posin of Boca Raton, Florida; Steven and his wife Carla Posin of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and Dorri and her husband Jonathan Kost of Farmington, Connecticut.

She was a devoted wife to Edward M. Segall for almost 40 years. Vera was an active member of Sisterhood and Hadassah in Waterbury, where she found deep joy and purpose, before she and Edward later settled in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Vera will be remembered for her generous spirit, ever-present optimism, devoted friendships, and wonderful sense of humor. Until the end she embraced life to the fullest, cherishing travel and time spent with family and friends.

She was a devoted grandmother, to five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren .

Vera’s family would like to thank Boynton Beach Home Care and Trustbridge Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 24, @1 pm Beth Israel Memorial Chapel , 11115 Jog Rd, Boynton Beach . Burial will be Sunday, July 27, at Star Lodge Cemetery, Stillson Rd. Waterbury Ct. at 9:45 a.m..
