Susan S. Hanover, 81, of Cheshire, beloved wife of 60 years to Walter R. Hanover, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. Susan was born on February 17, 1945, in New Haven, CT to the late Edward and Margaret Shea.
In her lifetime, Susan was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family, friends and faith. Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by the people she loved, whether gathered around the dinner table, cheering from the side at hockey, softball, baseball or soccer games, or simply sharing laughter and conversation with those closest to her.

Her warmth, generosity, and compassionate spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her husband Walter, she leaves behind her daughter, Kerry Pelletier and her husband Randy; her granddaughters, Alexandra Sarno and her husband Alessandro Sarno, and Paige Pelletier and her fiancé Hunter Flippin; her daughter-in-law Susan B.
