Susan Gerner

Meriden - Susan Jane Gerner, 65, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at her home.

Susan was born October 17, 1956, in Rockville Center, NY, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Mahoney) Gerner. She was raised in New Hyde Park, NY, and graduated from Memorial High School where she developed her artistic skills. In the past, she regularly attended Door of Hope Community Church, in Yalesville. She enjoyed reading, drawing, spending time with her family, and her cat, Cece.

She is survived by her brother Paul Gerner and his wife Dotti of Floral Park, NY; her sister Christine Fitzgerald and her husband Brian of Cheshire; her nephews Scott Gerner and David Fitzgerald; her nieces Elizabeth Rush and Colleen Fitzgerald.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held at a later date in New York and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 280285, East Hartford, CT 06128-0285.
