Jane Stankus

Naugatuck, CT Jane Stankus, 62, died peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016 at her home.
Jane was born on May 7, 1954 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Thomas P. Stankus and Ruth (Eiduks-Stankus) Yourk. A Waterbury native, Jane lived for many years in Naugatuck and worked as a special education paraprofessional for the City of Waterbury for over 20 years. Jane was a kind-hearted person who attended St. Vincent Ferrer Church and who enjoyed going to flea markets.
Jane is survived by her brother, Thomas S. Stankus and his wife Cynthia Stankus of Hamden, CT; her sister, Kimberly Fauquenot of Seattle, WA; a nephew, Abiram Bathgate and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at Church. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
