1934 - 2021

Naugatuck, CT Barbara J. (Kelsey) (Graben) Sousa, 86, the widow of Ralph Graben and Frank Sousa, died peacefully on September 6, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital.

Barbara was born November 18, 1934 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late Harold and Florence (Williams) Kelsey and lived in Naugatuck most of her life. Barbara graduated from Naugatuck High School and retired from Merritt Business Forms. Throughout her life, Barbara was affiliated with St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, where she was baptized and married.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Linda Graben; her sister, Dolores McKee and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00am at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Barbara’s memory, donations are requested to the CT Chapter Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd South, #4B, Southington, CT 06489.
