Clifford Smith

Naugatuck- Clifford "Red" Smith, Jr., 76, passed away Friday October 11, 2013 at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home in Stratford surrounded by his loving family.

Clifford was born in Dover, N. J. on August 30, 1937. He was the son of the late Piet and Gladys Usmany. He served his country in the U.S Marines. He was a retired self employed carpenter. Besides the love he had for his family , he was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan.

He is survived by 4 daughter's, Bonnie (Robert )Rentz of Naugatuck, Theresa (Larry) Henning of Seymour, Karen (Christopher) Czyzewski of Waterford, Vanessa (Daniel) Abrams of Orange, 3 sons, Peter (Shelley) Smith of East Haven, James Smith of Madison and Walter (Becky)Smith of Pensacola, FL. Clifford also leaves 16 loving grandchildren and 4 loving great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at noon at the Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2975 Nichols Ave, Trumbull, CT. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte 69, Prospect is in care of arrangements.
