Sharon Gale Grant, 82, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026. She was born on March 13, 1944 in Bridgeport to the late John C. and Pearl (Raymond) Thomlinson.

Sharon was a caring and loving mother and grandmother to two boy’s, two grandsons, a sister, aunt, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading her Bible, helping others, especially her close friends; lived a simple life, loved to laugh, and worked hard. She was employed at Lewis engineering in Naugatuck and Ward Lenard in Thomaston. Mom loved life and will be missed by all who knew her.

Sharon leaves behind her sons, Kenneth Careddu and James (Melissa) Careddu; grandsons, Kenneth Careddu Jr. and James Careddu Jr.; great grandson, Nathan; great granddaughter, Cora; sister, Colleen Camp; nieces, Deborah Calzone and Alex (Juan) Cruz; nephews, Vincent Calzone and Glenn Valentine; great nephews and nieces, Jayden Rivera, Hailey Rivera, Dominic Cruz, and Aubrey Cruz; and cousin, Beverly King. She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Henley.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. A Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Altair Ave., Thomaston, CT.
