Selma Greenberg

Meriden - Selma Greenberg, 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Alvin Greenberg.

Mrs. Greenberg was born February 19, 1929, in Long Island City, NY, the daughter of the late Max and Rose (Grauer) Strauss.
Selma was known for her absolute sweetness and her ready, beautiful smile. She was a lover of all dogs and always said “a house or family is not complete without a dog in it.” Selma was an avid shopper and took pleasure in providing every family member with great quantities of “Grandma gifts”. She also would generously “gift” everyone whose path she crossed; including the dog groomer, doctors, and nurses. Most of all, Selma truly enjoyed Bingo and spent many hours playing alongside her Bingo friends and relatives, particularly her daughter Lisa and her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Assisted Living Services and Hospice for the great care Selma received, especially Maritza, Anthea, and Gina.

Mrs. Greenberg is survived by her children Randy Greenberg (Donna), Scott Greenberg (Renee), Lisa Molloy (Brian), Marc Greenberg (Miriam); her grandchildren Sarah Grillo (Zachary), David (Summer) and Stephen Greenberg, Kaitlyn (Dylan) Cardona, Rachel Greenberg, Matthew and Christopher Logoyke, Meagan Molloy, Alan, and Daniel Greenberg; her great-grandchildren Grayson and Aurelia Grillo.

Arrangements – Funeral services and committal will be held at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden CT 06450.
