Naugatuck, CT Alberto Santos, 75, husband of Ana (Teixeira) Santos, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2019 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Alberto was born on August 15, 1943 in Vilar de Nantes, Portugal and resided in Naugatuck for the past 50 years. Alberto retired from Ansonia Copper & Brass and was a member of the Portuguese Sport Club. Alberto was a faithful and active member and volunteer of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and formerly served as a Eucharistic Minister at the church.

In addition to Ana, his wife of 48 years, Alberto is survived by his son, Alberto Santos, Jr.; his daughter, Melanie Santos; his 7 sisters, Telma Teixeira, Hortense DaRocha, Fatima DaSilva, Ana Nazare Santos, Dalila Teixeira, Anabela Santos, and Candida DeOliveira; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:15am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Everyone is kindly asked to meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
