Sandra C. “Sandy” Bouteiller, age 79 of Naugatuck, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Joe Sigetti. Sandra was born on April 11, 1947 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Carrol) Bouteiller.
Sandy was raised in Cheshire and resided in Naugatuck for more than 30 years. She worked for her family's businesses and later delivered newspapers in Waterbury before choosing to stay home to raise her children.
Sandy found joy in crafting and working on cars alongside her children and Joe. She also loved traveling with Joe, creating cherished memories together over the years.
Above all, Sandy treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had the biggest heart, always putting her family first and showing compassion to anyone in need. Her kindness, generosity, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will live on through the family and friends she loved so deeply.
Sandy is the beloved mother of William Bryant and his wife, Ligaya of Naugatuck; Lloyd Bryant and his wife, Jennifer of Naugatuck; John Bryant of Newtown; and Mary Chapman and her husband, Douglas of Lakeville. She also leaves her loving grandchildren. April Bryant, Elizabeth Corcoran, Andrew Bryant, Britney Bryant, Mathew Bryant, Jan Dixon, Kiara Barde, Xyrell Owen Carza and Avianna Bryant; her cherished great-grandchildren, Kyia, Kuri, Cassiel, Goku, Prince and Ahnah; her siblings, Thomas Bouteiller and his wife, JoAnn of Cheshire; and Daniel Bouteiller and his wife, Maureen “Mickey” of Southington; her sisters-in-law, Donna, Louise and Dolly Bouteiller; and her best friend, Diane “Dee”.
Sandy was predeceased by her aunt and uncle, Mary and Oliver Bouteiller, who raised her and whom she knew as parents. She was also predeceased by her brothers, John, Alfred Sr. “Butchie,” and Oliver Bouteiller; and her sister, Cindy Schneider.
Friends may greet Sandy’s family at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770 on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 4PM until 7PM. Her burial services will be private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 74 Central Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06702.
