RoseMary Freyermuth

RoseMary Freyermuth, 84, beloved wife of the late L. Paul Freyermuth, passed away on June 7, 2025. Born on February 15, 1941 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Loretta Fitzgerald and sister to the late Sally Reilly.

RoseMary was a long-time resident of Naugatuck and in later years split her time between Bradenton, Florida and Oakville, Connecticut. RoseMary graduated from the St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and worked in the healthcare profession for many years. She was most proud of the time she spent as a School Nurse in the Naugatuck School District. Throughout her life, RoseMary was fortunate to visit many diverse places throughout the US and globally. She particularly enjoyed traveling with her husband Paul to spend time with her grandchildren, who enjoyed her love and generous spirit. In her free time, RoseMary enjoyed supporting UConn Basketball, reading, socializing with friends and spending time with family.

RoseMary is survived by her sons, Stephen Freyermuth and his wife, Darlene, and Paul Freyermuth, his wife Michele, and granddaughters, Alexandra and Kate.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor RoseMary’s memory, contributions may be made to the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department. Donations may be mailed to 935 Main St., Watertown CT 06795 or via PayPal.
