Rose F. Young

NAUGATUCK - Rose (Carbone) Young passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at VITAS, St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, CT, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip W. Young, who passed away on April 23, 2025, after 60 years of marriage.

Rose was born on June 12, 1943, in New York, NY, daughter of the late Theodore and Nancy (Mattiace) Carbone.

Rose will be remembered for her love of family, Cape Cod, being an advocate for animals (especially dogs and cats), television, music, and good food.

She will be deeply missed by her loving sister, Nancy Carbone, her best friend of 32 years Debbie Corso, her daughter, Kelly, and her grandson, Phillip, and numerous cousins in CT, NY, and NJ.

In accordance with Rose’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make donations in her name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 E. 92nd St, New York, NY 10128-6804 or by clicking HERE.
