Robert Santello

Cheshire ' Robert M. Santello, 72, of Cheshire, passed away August 27, 2009 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the husband of Alice F. (Fusco) Santello.

Mr. Santello was born July 15, 1937 in New Haven the son of the late Robert and Anna (Spizzoucco) Santello. He was a long time Cheshire resident and a communicant of St. Thomas Becket Church. He retired from the Regional Water Authority in 2001 after 35 years of service.

Besides his wife of 11 years, Mr. Santello is survived by his brother Richard and his wife Maria of Branford; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Dolores (Barbuto) Santello and his sons Michael and Christopher.

Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Monday August 31, 2009 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
