Robert "Lee" Mooneyham Jr.

Naugatuck – Robert “Lee” Mooneyham Jr. entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. He was the beloved husband of Carol Mooneyham.

Lee was born on June 15, 1958, in Burlington, North Carolina, the son of Mary, Beulah Mooneyham, and the late Robert Mooneyham Sr. He worked as a land surveyor for the Connecticut Department of Transportation for 28 years before retiring in 2016. Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. He enjoyed making meals at home, especially his delicious homemade beef and chicken soups, breakfast omelets, and meatloaf dinners. Lee will be remembered for his quiet humor, unique quotes about life, and his dad jokes, which will live on in the memories of his family and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, he is survived by his mother Mary Beulah Mooneyham of Sanford, North Carolina; his daughter, Ryan Elizabeth Mooneyham; his granddaughter, Alexia Leigh Korzen; his maternal aunt, Shirley Lindley of Graham, North Carolina, and several cousins. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his son, Stephen Lee Mooneyham.

Arrangements– Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, with a funeral service at 7 pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
