Robert "Bob" Kareliussen

Bob Kareliussen, 78, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. He is now reunited with his beloved high school sweetheart and late wife, Mary.

Bob was born on April 20, 1948, in Providence, RI, to the late Einer and Lydia Kareliussen. The Boys & Girls Club in Providence was a significant part of his childhood, and he fondly spoke of his time there throughout his life.

Bob was a dedicated employee at Pratt & Whitney for over 30 years, retiring in 1998. He deeply cherished the strong bonds of friendship developed there, which remained a heartfelt part of his life through the years. A resident of Cheshire for over 45 years, Bob was known as a true, caring neighbor and friend to many in the community. Above all, his grandchildren were his pride and joy, and his thoughts were always with them in everything they did.

Bob leaves behind his sons, Kevin Kareliussen and his wife Nina, and Robert Kareliussen and his wife Cathy. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren: Connor, Cole, Erik, and Jenna.

At Bob’s request, a private graveside service will be held, and there will be no public calling hours. Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to local Boys & Girls Clubs.
