Richard Charles Napoli, Sr., 74, of Cheshire, beloved husband of the late Katherine Napoli, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2024. Richard was born on December 28, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Charles and Rose Napoli. Richard was a graduate and athlete of Fairfield Preparatory School and Sacred Heart University.
He worked for over 40 years in Materials Management in a variety of manufacturing companies throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Richard was a selfless and hardworking man. He would do anything for his family; especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He always kept family as his highest priority. He loved attending his grandchildren’s baseball, hockey and field hockey events. He enjoyed taking annual trips to Kennebunkport, ME with his wife, Kathy and family. Richard also enjoyed golfing with his sons, trips to the casino, dining out, tending to his meticulous landscaping and well kept home, watching western movies, and going to doo- wop musicals. You would often hear him singing along to his favorite Elvis tunes. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, and Alabama Crimson Tide, as well as the UCONN Women’s basketball team. In their spare time, he and his son Richard Jr., took up the hobby of flipping houses. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Bridget of Sweden Parish.
He leaves behind his children, Kerry Scarice and her husband Thomas, Richard Napoli, Jr., Beth Napoli and Jeffrey Napoli; grandchildren, Ella, Owen and Gavin Scarice and Charles Napoli; brother, Gary (Karen) Napoli; sister, Debra (Albert) Danker; and many nieces and nephews.
