Richard J. Sigetti

Naugatuck - Richard J. Sigetti, 70, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Sigetti was born October 2, 1951, in Waterbury, the son of the late Lawrence and Grace (Lorson) Sigetti. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and recently retired from Cly-Del Manufacturing. A communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church, he was a member of the VFW Post 1946 Mens Auxilary, the Knights of Columbus Ojeda Council #33. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Arie 640 of Naugatuck.

Rich loved working on anything with a motor. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, hunting and taking his grandkids on small camping trips in his camper. He enjoyed a yearly trip to Pennsylvania for a family reunion and looked forward to spending time with his grand-puppies, Murray and Gatsby.

He is survived by his son Dennis Sigetti and his wife Melissa; his daughter Michelle Hughes and her husband Gary; his step-daughter Laura Chandler; his brother Joseph Sigetti and his partner Sandy; his sisters Beverly Garceau and Darlene Butler and her husband Bill; his grandchildren Jessica Guerrette and her husband Matt, Melanie Taraskewich and her husband Mike, Jordyn Valenti and her husband Nate, Zachary Hughes, Dakota, Dawson, Haileigh and, Lindsay Sigetti, Kylie and, Kaylynn Hughes; his great-grandchildren Madalynn Guerrette and Novaleigh Krupnik. He also leaves behind his lifelong friend Paul Sandri.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Kathy Sigetti and his fiancée Barbara Watterworth.

Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
