Cheshire- Richard C. Guerrera, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Philippi) Guerrera.
Richard was born January 17, 1955, in Waterbury, and was the son of the late Carmen Guerrera and Eleanor Morton.

He spent his days taking care of his pets and socializing with the neighbors or with friends and family on the phone. He liked to travel and was always ready for an adventure. His dog, Homer kept him busy by scratching the door wanting to go outside all day long.
Along with his wife of 28 years, Richard is survived by his daughters, Alicia Mays (42) and Malisa McDonald (40); son and daughter-in-law, Justin (27) and Sarah Guerrera; daughter, Caitlyn (25) Guerrera and boyfriend, Ethan Barsczewski; sisters, Eleanor Fazzino and Darlene Guerrera; brother and sister-in-law, David and Diana Guerrera; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and William Ciskowski; as well as extended family and friends.
