Regina T. Daly, 87, beloved wife of the late Kevin John Daly Sr., passed away on October 18, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1939 in Browntown, PA, to the late Gilbert and Mary Toole.
Regina was an avid reader and had a zest for learning which led her to earn her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in adulthood. Although education was important to her, family was her priority. Regina spent much of her time attending endless sporting events, musical concerts and graduations for her 18 grandchildren. In addition to that, Regina made every holiday memorable and every birthday feel special. In Regina’s final years, she was happiest being at home with family and/or relaxing on her back porch. She loved New England and enjoyed every season - especially spring, watching the birds and bunnies frolic in her backyard.
She leaves behind her children, Kevin J. (Ann) Daly Jr., Michael C. (Linley) Daly, Damian P. (Jeanne) Daly, and Meegan (Dana) Goodale; 18 beloved grandchildren: Caitlin, Jessica, Lauren, Ryan, Maya, Alison, Sarah, Jenna, Megan, Samuel, Nicole, Shane, Luke, Carson, Dempsey, Braden, Nolan, and Mary Grace; one cherished great grandson, Declan; as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Toole; sister, Anne Maguire; and her nephews, Dennis, John, and Joseph Maguire.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, 249 Cross St, Naugatuck. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross of Connecticut.
