Phang Ai, 71, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025. She was given the name AiPhang Huang when she was born on August 29, 1954 in Phnom Penn, Cambodia to Eng Leab and Tang Hour.
Phang was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She raised her four children by herself after her husband passed in 1995. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and spending as much time as she could with them. She never said no to helping her family when they were in need, even her extended family in Cambodia. Phang had a kind and generous heart that had never-ending love toward inlaws, distant family and her friends. She treated her nieces and nephews like her own children. Phang was so very loved and respected by all her family and friends, and she will truly be missed by them all.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Channarith Mok, Chanrithy (Linna Savin) Mok, Sophy Mok and Sopheap (Paul) Albuquerque; and adored eight grandchildren with another one on the way. She was predeceased by her husband, Huy Mok.
A Memorial Service and Buddhist Ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck, CT.
