Cheshire - Patrick R. Mesite, 86, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. He was the husband of Sheila (Reckmack) Mesite.

Mr. Mesite was born July 28, 1940, in Meriden, the son of the late Patsy and Josephine (Agli) Mesite. He graduated from Meriden High School class of 1958 and was a longtime employee at New Departure in Bristol. He was an avid sports fan rooting for the Red Sox, the New York Giants, the New York Knicks, and the New York Rangers.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he survived by his sons Robert Mesite of Cheshire and Shaun Mesite of MA; his sister Theresa Grant of Meriden; as well as his grandchildren Grayson and Madeleine. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Joseph.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 5 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Mr. Mesite’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am and proceed to St. Bridget Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
