Desiree Paiva

Naugatuck, CT - Desiree D. Paiva, 32, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Friday, March 13, 2015.

Desiree was born February 3, 1983 in Riverside, CA a daughter of Dorothy L. (Hay) Paiva and the late Alfred R. Paiva, Jr. Desiree loved her family with a passion and was an excellent mother to her son Jason. She had an enthusiastic love of life and loved cooking, watching the Food Network, music, dancing and off roading. She spent time living in Hawaii, where she embraced the culture and loved to surf. Desiree loved animals and working as a veterinary technician, and she was a proud foster mom for an animal rescue group.

In addition to her mother Dorothy Paiva, Desiree is survived by her son Jason Anthony Paiva-Fraticelli, her siblings, Dannielle, Clarissa, Dana, Scott, Shannon and Sherry, her fiancé Megan Smith and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue.
