Monika Karnuseviciute,

Monika Karnuseviciute, age 49 of Woodbridge, Connecticut, died on Thursday, August 14. Monika was born and raised in Kaunas, Lithuania. She became a U.S. citizen on July 1, 2005.

Monika worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Collins Aerospace. Before that, she was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft. She was active in the Lithuanian American Sports Club of Connecticut, the Vaiva Vebraite Lithuanian American Heritage School, and the Hamden Heronettes Artistic Swimming Team — a devoted wife and mother who loved her family very much.

Surviving are Monika’s husband, Marius Janusaitis (53), her son Mantas (17), and daughter Viktorija (13). In addition, she leaves behind her parents, Vladas and Stanislava, her brother Algis, wife Raimonda, son Benas (15), and daughter Ema (13), who reside in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, CT. On Saturday morning, Monika’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.
