Mollie Rosenberg

Mollie Rosenberg, age 105, of West Orange, NJ and formerly of Waterbury, CT passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the Daughters of Israel in West Orange, NJ.  She was the devoted wife of the late Ernest Rosenberg for over 42 years until his passing.  Mollie was born on December 24, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Henry and Rose (Bernstein) Rosberger.

Mollie grew up in Bridgeport, CT and settled in Waterbury after she and Ernest were married.  Soon they began their family together and enjoyed travelling.  Mollie was known for her many talents in the kitchen, especially for her lemon supreme cake.  She relocated to West Orange, NJ over 20 years ago to be closer to her family. 

Mollie is the beloved mother of Roberta Gordon and her husband, Michael of Brooklyn, NY; Jeanne Heiber and her husband, Stephen of Florham Park, NJ; Joan Fridshal and her husband, Donald of Sarasota, FL; and Nancy Temkin and her husband, Peter Hendrickson of Redmond, WA.  She is also survived by her sister, Hilda Marsden of Asheville, NC; her sister-in-law, Anne Rosberger; her 8 loving grandchildren and her 12 cherished great-grandchildren.  Mollie was predeceased by her sister, Sarah Cedarbaum; and her brothers, Henry and Arthur Rosberger. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 1PM in Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Road, Waterbury.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Daughters of Israel, West Orange, NJ.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury has been entrusted with her care.
