Michael G Siavrakas, of Cheshire, Connecticut, formerly of Meriden, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 24, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Connecticut and a beloved figure in both his community and the floral industry.
He was the proud owner and operator of New England Wholesale Florist, which he ran for 50 years with honesty, kindness, and an unmatched work ethic. Through his decades of dedication, he helped foster the entrepreneurial spirit of countless small business owners across the region, always eager to share his experience, advice, and encouragement. Known for his warmth, generosity, and integrity, he was a gentle giant who touched the lives of everyone he met, from colleagues and customers to friends and family. His passions included entrepreneurship, sports, and most of all, being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Martha; his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Jessica; his cherished grandson, Michael Gus, who proudly carries his Papou’s name; his brother, Chris; and many other loving family members. All who knew him will forever carry forward the lessons, values, and inspiration he instilled. A private service celebrating Michael's life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10 am at St. Demetrios Church, 31 Brightwood Rd, Bristol, CT. Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to St. Demetrios Church.
