Michael R. Kolodziej

Terryville - Michael Kolodziej, 45, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and his family on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was the husband of Jean (Tardy) Kolodziej.

Michael was born July 22, 1980, in Waterbury, the son of the late Michael and Marjorie (Casper) Kolodziej. He was a graduate of W.F. Kaynor Technical High School, Class of 1998. A longtime Prospect resident, Michael worked for Lepore Construction for 13 years and, more recently, was a Salesman for Stately Stair. He was a fan of the NY Giants, the Boston Red Sox, and UCONN Men’s Basketball.

Besides his wife of the last 14 years, he is survived by his brother Jason Kolodziej; his sisters-in-laws Stacey Tampellini and Brenda McLean (Scott); his nieces Ashley, Vanessa, and Carlina Tampellini, Emma Anderson, Natalie and Audrey McLean; his nephews Nathan Koumpias, Liam and Patrick Anderson; his mother-in-law Judy Tardy; and brother-in-law Robert Anderson; as well as his dogs Maggie Grace and Morgan Finn. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Chloe Ann and his sister Laurie Kolodziej Anderson.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
