Michael F. Donovan

NAUGATUCK – Michael F. Donovan, 70, passed away on January 13, 2026, at his home in Naugatuck, CT.  He shared many years of marriage with his wife Darlene Donovan, who preceded him in death. In recent years, Michael found companionship and comfort in the loyal presence of his best friend Hank the dog.

Michael was born on February 16, 1955, in Malden, MA, the son of the late John J. and Patricia A. Donovan. Over the years, he built a career with IBM and later with Big Y, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.

Michael was a devoted father to his four children: Tara, Michael, Ryan, and Kelly. He took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished the time spent with each of them. His legacy continues through his four beloved grandchildren—Cailin, Rowan, Kaylie, and Nolan—who brought him immense joy.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT.
