Michael A. Chirichella, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his home in Naugatuck, CT. He was born on June 9, 1946, in Long Island City, NY, son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Rosamano) Chirichella. He was the loving husband of Mary (Savino) Chirichella for 56 years.

Mike graduated from Farmingdale High School before attending Adelphi Business School and then proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to own a catering business for many years. Following his retirement, he continued to make a positive impact on his communities during his time working in school cafeterias and assisting adults with disabilities. Mike was a devoted husband, father, and Papa who loved his family above all else. He also enjoyed his NY sports teams, working outdoors, and a good steak.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his three children, Christopher Chirichella of Oxford, CT, Doreen Chirichella of Naugatuck, CT, Steven Chirichella and his wife Kelley of Highland Mills, NY; and his grandchildren, Avery, and Ethan. In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his brother, James Chirichella.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, CT,  201 Meadow Street. At 6:30 p.m., his funeral service will be held at the funeral home.

A committal service will be held on Thursday, February, 1, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown. Anyone attending is asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
