Mearl Davis

Naugatuck - Mearl Davis, 64, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital.

Mearl was born January 29, 1961, in Waterbury, the son of the late Mearl and Ardis (Allen) Davis. He was a lifelong Naugatuck resident where he graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1980. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was an auto enthusiast, owning and working on several vehicles and was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. He was employed as a mechanic for the former Campion Ambulance in Waterbury.

Mearl is survived by his brothers Edward and Terry Davis; his sisters Lorraine Makowsky and her husband Michael and Penny Greensway and her husband William; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Linn.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2025 from 11 to 12 noon at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. At 12 his procession will leave the funeral home and proceed to Grove Cemetery for committal.
