MIDDLEBURY - Maureen Ford Dibble, age 94, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Lutheran Home in Southbury, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the widow of Stanley E. Dibble, Jr., who predeceased her in 2000.
Maureen was born on June 21, 1928, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Hazel (Sheldon) and Chester Ford.
She was employed by Lewis Engineering and then Timex Corp. where she met her husband. Following the birth of her children, she became a stay-at-home mother.
Maureen was a member of Pomperaug Chapter #88, Order of the Eastern Star in Woodbury. She was a long-time member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Middlebury and for many years helped with the Christmas Gingerbread Village.
She leaves her daughter, Judith Kiessling and her husband Chuck of Woodbury; her son Bruce Dibble and his wife Kathy of Watertown; her grandsons, Benjamin Kiessling (Rebecca), Daniel Kiessling (Lindsay), Nicholas Kiessling, Scott Dibble (Nicole), and her granddaughter Amanda Dibble Shadduck (Michael). She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Mason, Hunter, Harrison, and Grace Kiessling, and Colton, Avery, and Olivia Shadduck. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Barbara Dibble.
She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Chester Ford and her sister, Nancy Ford.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Lutheran Home for the wonderful care she received during her stay there.
