Lourdes Matos

Prospect, CT Lourdes Matos, 60, the wife of Elisiario Matos, died peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital.
Lourdes was born on November 12, 1955 in Brazil the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosa (Soares) Santos and had lived in Prospect for the past 35 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
In addition to her husband of Prospect, Lourdes is survived by her son, Lee Matos and his fiancé Laura Strachen of Goshen, CT; her son, Marco Matos and his wife Nicole Matos of Waterbury, CT; her daughter, Sandra Matos Patterson and her husband Justin Patterson of Prospect, CT; her brother, Luiz “Tony” Santos and his wife Celeste Santos of Prospect, CT; her grandchildren, Jasmine, Angelina, Jack, Christian, Logan and Paige and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Monday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
