Marion (Buckholz) Roche, age 93, of Hamden entered into rest on Wednesday, December 13, 2013 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph E. Marion grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Orange, where she lived an idyllic farm life with her cherished younger sister Joan. She loved music and studied at the Connecticut Experimental Theater. Some of her many accomplishments included singing at Woolsley Hall, the Yale Bowl and the Shubert Theater. She was also a graduate of Larsen Junior College and worked as a secretary in West Haven.
She was a nurturing mother, and enjoyed sports and watching her children and grandchildren play baseball and hockey and making wonderful family memories during summer trips to Cape Cod.
She is the beloved mother of Thomas J. Roche of Hamden; Joseph Roche Jr. and his wife, Lynne of Wallingford; John L. Roche and his wife, Maureen of Wallingford; Robert P. Roche and his wife, Vera of Cheshire; and Barbara Oddie and her husband, John of Hamden.
