Marion Haney

Cheshire Marion Haney, 89, formerly of Patton Dr. passed away Monday November 3, 2008 at West River Health Care Center in Milford. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Haney for 70 plus years. Mrs. Haney was born April 4, 1919 in West Haven the daughter of the late Matthew and Lucinda (Boswerth) Lawson. She was a long time Cheshire resident where she was a member of the Cheshire Grange and a member of the Odd Fellows Rebecca Lodge. She was a Long Distance Operator for Southern New England Telephone. Mrs. Haney is survived by a son Fred M. Haney and his wife Claudette of West Haven; a grandson Scott Haney and his wife Theresa of New Milford; two granddaughters Kim Berglund and her husband Joe of Wolcott, and Stacy Mitchell and her husband Jimmy of Richmond, VA; three great grandchildren Sean and Ryan Berglund and Hunter Mitchell. She was predeceased by her sister Alma L. Gammons and a cousin Lottie Miller of Somers. Arrangements A funeral service will be held on Friday November 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in Billings Hill Cemetery, East Longmeadow, MA. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
