Marie Campbell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend, peacefully departed this life on August 31, 2026, at the age of 90, in the presence of her loving family. She was born on January 5, 1936, in Somerville, Massachusetts, the fourth of five siblings to the late Judson and Elsie Hewitt. Marie led a life rich in love, devotion, and service, which she cultivated in the warmth of her family and community. 

A graduate of Somerville High School, Marie dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. She worked as an office administrator for several local businesses, including Tilcon-Tomasso, where her organizational skills and warm disposition left a lasting impression. However, it was as a homemaker and the wife of a pastor that she found her greatest joy. Marie took pride in supporting her husband's ministry and nurturing her family with love and kindness.

Her passion extended to music, where she shared her love of singing as a choir director, inspiring many with her voice and spirit. Marie's warmth and compassion were felt by all who knew her, as she welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. 

Marie is survived by her devoted spouse, Rev. Dwight Campbell; her son, Stephen Campbell and his wife Trudi; her daughter, Elizabeth Zelanakas and her husband David; as well as a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. 

A graveside service in celebration of Marie’s life will be held at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery on Friday September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street has care of arrangements.
