Maria C. Esposito

Maria Esposito, 94, of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on November 10, 2025. She was the cherished wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Esposito and a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Born on May 25, 1931, in New Haven, Maria was the daughter of the late Guiliano and Maria Riccitelli. Her life was defined by love, faith, and family. She is survived by her children: Anthony Esposito Jr., Michael Esposito and his wife, Maura, and Cheryl Sortor. Maria also leaves behind four grandchildren: Jason, Meredith, Evan, and Erin.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; her brother, John Riccitelli; and her sister, Frances Aliano.

A Christian Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow at Beaverdale Cemetery, 90 Pine Rock Ave., New Haven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
