Lucille A. Handle

Cheshire - Lucille A. Handle, 93, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1931 in Meriden, to the late Anthony and Mary Erardi.

Lucille will be remembered as a strong, independent, unique woman. She stepped into the role of matriarch to her large extended family. With her bigger than life personality, she has been a constant presence to her sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She brought the family together for holidays, picnics, and Sunday dinners creating moments we will never forget. Lucille will be deeply missed by so many and has left us with the most wonderful memories.

Lucille leaves behind her daughters, Debra (Vincent) A. Guarino and Sharon (Frank) M. Famiglietti; her son, George L. Handle; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Ann Branciforte and Gloria Dawson; and brother-in-law, Edward Branciforte.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated that day at 12 p.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. 250 Gypsy Ln., Meriden.
