Beloved Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend
Lorraine Buckley Robbins, 95, of Naugatuck, beloved wife of Richard (Dick) Robbins, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. She was born on January 19, 1930 in Waterbury to her late parents, Patrick and Helen Buckley.
Lorraine spent her formative years growing up in Waterbury before moving to Naugatuck, graduating from Naugatuck High School Class of 1948. She worked at the Naugatuck Rubber Shop where she met her husband, Richard. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage and had 3 children together. She also worked and retired from Peter Paul Candy Manufacturing Company.
Lorraine Robbins loved going on vacation with her family, especially boating and snowmobiling. She loved her home and colorful gardens. Lorraine enjoyed singing and was a member of Kollege Kapers for a few years.
She leaves behind three children, daughter, Linda Monahan and her husband, Robert of Florida; daughter, Robin Tuohy and her husband Michael of Prospect; and son, Eric Robbins and his wife Valerie of Maine. She also leaves behind sisters, Janice Ulrichsen and Hazel Danby, as well as her sister-in-law, Carol Buckley all of Naugatuck. In addition, she has 7 grandchildren: Kristy Monahan of Massachusetts, Melissa Evans (Jason) of Virginia, Kelly Licht (Udo) of Tennessee, Allison Fitzpatrick (Jon) of Prospect, Michael Tuohy of Prospect, Kileen Robbins (Matt Olofson) of Seymour, and Nicole Robbins of Maine. Her 6 great grandchildren are: Daniel and Mathew Hartono of Massachusetts, Logan Evans of Virginia, Chloe Maklary of Naugatuck, Kaylee Olofson of Seymour and Mackenzie Barrere of Prospect.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents and husband Richard, as well as her siblings: sister Helen (Buckley) Laone, and brothers Raymond Buckley, Edmond Buckley, and Dennis Buckley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Grove Cemetery, Cross St., Naugatuck, CT.
