Lisa Guerrieri

CHESHIRE, CT – Lisa Guerrieri, 62, of Cheshire, CT (formerly of Woodbridge, CT) passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Lisa was the beloved wife of Dr. Jonathan A. Schneider. Lisa was born on September 17, 1960 in Houston, Texas, daughter of the late Nicholas P., Sr., and Mildred (Wanat) Guerrieri. Lisa attended Amity Regional High School (Class of 1978), obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Quinnipiac College (1986), and an MBA from the University of New Haven in 1989. Lisa had a long career in nursing as a practitioner, administrator, and instructor, and was a former employee of The Hospital of Saint Raphael, Southern Connecticut State University, Quinnipiac University, Kindred at Home, Yale University and Amazon. She was also a member of the Connecticut Nurses Honor Guard.

Lisa was consistently kind and helpful, frequently placing other people’s needs before her own. She loved her family, nursing, and caring for other people. Lisa took immense pride as a nurse, supporting both her patients and students. When not working or spending time with her family, Lisa enjoyed spending time with horses, taking cooking classes, and playing pickleball. She was loving, dedicated, and had a great sense of humor. Lisa loved her sibling’s and husband’s families like her own and was a bright light to so many people.

In addition to her husband, Lisa tragically leaves behind her nieces Rachel (Francisco) Figueroa of Bridgeport, Marchella Bailey of East Haven; nephews Gary (Jessica) and David Guerrieri of Florida, and great nephews, Gavin and Collin Guerrieri. She will be greatly missed by her nephews Trevor Irizarry and Noah Figueroa. She will also be dearly missed by her stepchildren Gregory (Doreet) Schneider, Andrew Schneider, and Hilary Schneider (Andy) Fink, and step grandchildren Brett Schneider, Matan Schneider, Arel Schneider, Sarai Schneider, and Hendrix Fink. In addition to her parents, Lisa was predeceased by her brothers Nick, Gary, and Paul, and sister Nancy. Lisa’s memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who loved her. Her legacy lives on through her family and countless lives she touched through her extraordinary life.
