Obituary

Lisa Marie DeMaio, 63, beloved and devoted wife of David J. DeMaio for 38 years, unexpectedly passed away on June 12, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

Lisa was born on December 28, 1962, in Norwalk, CT to John D’Antonio Sr. and the late Sandra D’Antonio. She graduated from Norwalk High School, class of 1980. After graduating, she worked at Dooney & Burke and then later went on to work for her father’s business. In between that time, she met the love of her life, David. On October 15, 1989, they married and together they built a home filled with warmth, endless love, and laughter with their two daughters.

After being a devoted stay-at-home mom, and going to choir concerts, school dances, softball games, and graduations, Lisa decided to go back to work within the school system to keep busy.

She dedicated her life to her family, raising her children with boundless love, patience, and curiosity. Between birthday cards, texts, and daily phone calls Lisa never missed a chance to remind her children how proud she was of them and how much she loved her husband. Her selflessness and comforting embrace, infectious smile and laughter will never be forgotten.

Lisa loved the beach and spending the fall in Vermont to see the foliage. On nice days she’d be outside, listening to the birds, or watching the sunset. Most of all, she cherished Sundays with her family; riding motorcycles, finding new restaurants or sharing her lovingly crafted homemade meals.

If you ever had the privilege of being welcomed into Lisa's kitchen, you already know that she showed love through food. Thursdays were pasta night, but she could never find a pot big enough for her famous meatballs and sauce. She welcomed everyone with open arms and grace, always finding room for one more plate at the table.

She also loved animals including their dog Holly, who was a diabetic and Buttons who was rescued twice. She loved taking them for walks and cuddling with them on the couch. They were her pride and joy.

In addition to her husband David, she leaves behind her two wonderful girls, Amanda DeMaio and Cassandra Quint (DeMaio) and her husband Paul Quint; her father, John D’Antonio Sr. and his wife Nancy; her brother, John D’Antonio Jr and his wife Ivelisse; along with countless extended family members and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

She was predeceased by her mother, Sandra and her two fur babies, Holly and Buttons.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main Street Cheshire, CT. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
