Kathleen C. Maturo

Naugatuck - Kathleen Claire Maturo, 80, passed away peacefully, on May 19, 2026, at the Lutheran Home of Southbury, with her family by her side.

Kathy was born on April 17, 1946, in Bridgeport, the daughter of Rita and Larry Bassett. She grew up in Fairfield, and attended Fairfield High School. She worked at the Sieman Company in Watertown, for over 20 years while being a devoted wife and mother.

Known for her sense of humor, love of animals, and contagious laughter and smile, Kathy brought joy and charm to all who knew her. She enjoyed music, dancing and classic movies and had a passion for interior design. Nothing gave her more joy than her grandchildren.

She was the former wife of Louis Maturo of Naugatuck and a devoted mother to Karen Wilson, Albert Martins, Michael Martins, Carrie Maturo and Tracy Maturo all formerly of Naugatuck. She was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Arrangements - Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 2-4 PM at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Funeral service and committal will be held at the convenience of the family.
