Kaaren Ritchie Earle

MESA, AZ - Karen Ritchie Earle, formerly of Cheshire and Woodlawn Street, in Hamden, died peacefully on 6/7/2025.

Nicknamed "Honey" in childhood, Karen was a 1961 graduate of Hamden High School. She worked at Miami Bell, Yale University Health Department, Charles W. Scranton, Co. and finally HB Communications, where she met her husband, Phil Earle, to whom she was married for thirty wonderful years.

She was the fifth of six children born to Thomas and Alice (Goebel) Ritchie. She was predeceased by siblings, Georgia Reynolds, Suzanne Flynn and Thomas A. Ritchie. She is survived by her husband, Phil Earle, siblings, Alan Ritchie and Pamela Richards, sons, Brian O'Donnell (Veronica) and Kevin O'Donnell, stepchildren, Robert Earle (Kristina), Catherine Rossi and Cynthia Pattison (Robert), as well as dozens of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who all loved her very much. She was a friend to all she met, always remained young at heart and was always the life of the party.

Gatherings of friends and family will be held in Arizona and Connecticut at a future date, and interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Karen's memory to Hospice of the Valley by clicking HERE
