June Johnson

CHESHIRE- June Mottram Johnson, 90, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at her home in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late Richard N. Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 11,1933, in Meriden, daughter of the late Wilfred and Viola (Hall) Mottram. She assisted her husband of 61 years in his store, Town & Country TV & Appliance, and his building management company. June lived a full life with her loving husband, enjoying the times she spent with him in Clinton, Vermont, and Florida.

Mrs. Johnson leaves behind her daughters, Patricia Grove and her husband Dr. Michael Fanizzi of Fairlee, VT, and Jill Johnson of Jupiter FL and Cheshire, and her sons, Robert and his wife Kathlyn Johnson of Miami, FL, Richard Johnson Jr. and his wife, Kathleen Johnson of Cheshire, and David Johnson of Hartford. She will also be missed by her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Salvatore and Ashley Walsh, her grandsons James Andrew Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Dylan Walsh, and Jaiden Hatton, and her great-grandchildren, Josephine Salvatore, and Ryland Welch. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her son, Ronald Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson’s family extends their deepest thanks to Lorraine Skyers for her dedicated and loving care for their mother during her last 3 years. 

Arrangements: Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions, in her name, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
