Judith M. “Judy” Boisvert, age 80 of Naugatuck, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a brief illness. She was born on May 1, 1946 in Williamsport, PA, daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Chase) Ort.

Having a father who was a traveling salesman, Judy moved around quite a bit during her childhood before eventually settling in Naugatuck, where she would make her home and raise her own family. She graduated from Naugatuck High School and became a familiar and well-loved face in the community.

Judy was a well-known bus driver for the public schools and later drove for DuFour Brothers buses. Through her years behind the wheel, she formed many lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless people along the way.

Judy had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Some of her fondest memories were made camping at various campgrounds throughout Connecticut, including Lone Oaks and White Pines. She also enjoyed crafting and took pleasure in creating things with her hands.

She is the beloved mother of Peggy Lebeau and her husband, Jim of Waipahu, HI; Billy Yankauskas of Terryville; Michelle Lavoie and her husband, Doug of Naugatuck; Robert Boisvert, Jr. of Naugatuck; David Boisvert of Middlebury; Kari Boisvert of Naugatuck and Katie Boisvert of HI. “Peachie Gramma” “Gigi” “Gramma” also leaves her 29 loving grandchildren; her 30 cherished great-grandchildren; her brother, Frederick Ort and his wife, Christine of Surprise, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Ort; her sister, Carol Ricci and brother-in-law, Mike Ricci.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Judy’s Life on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 5PM until 8PM at Dee-Man’s Bar and Grill, 1370 New Haven Rd., Rte. 63, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
