Joseph Limata

Cheshire - Joseph Limata, 94, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Angela Teresa Limata.

Mr. Limata was born October 9, 1929, in Telese Terme, Italy son of the late Marco Antonio and Costanza (Forhini) Limata.  He came to the U.S. in 1958 and has worked in various aspects of carpentry.  In 1980 he went to work for the Cheshire Board of Education in the maintenance division. 

Mr Limata is survived by his son Marc Limata and his wife Mary; his grandchildren Marc Limata Jr. and his wife Tahlie, Shawn Limata and his wife Danielle, Lauren and Katelyn Limata; his great-grandchildren Isabella Teresa, Olivia, and Ella.

Mr Limata was a loving grandpa and was adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr Limata was your classic Italian. He loved to garden, cook, build “inventions”, walk around the neighborhood, and chat with his neighbors.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
