John Voelker

John Joseph Voelker, age 70, formerly of Poughkeepsie, NY entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Hebrew Center in West Hartford.  John was born on December 5, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, son of the late Roy S. and Lois J. (Williamson) Voelker.

John grew up in Poughkeepsie and attended local schools, graduating from Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Class of 1971, and soon after earning his Associates degree from Dutchess Community College.  A true “Hudson Valley boy”, he was a dedicated fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees.  He worked for IBM for many years in New York and in North Carolina. 

John is the beloved brother of William S. “Bill” Voelker and his wife, Melinda A. “Mindy” Otlowski of Plantsville, CT and is also survived by his 2 cherished nephews, John of Huntsville, AL and Matthew of Windsor, CT.
