John Perrotti, Jr.,

Cheshire - John Perrotti, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, at MidState Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband and best friend of Patricia M. (Puchalski) Perrotti.

John was born March 28, 1942, in New Haven, the son of the late John and Anna (DeLucia) Perrotti Sr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Marla, and his sister, Patricia Weiler.

Besides his wife of 60 years, John is survived by his son John Perrotti III, and his wife Karen; his grandchildren, John Thomas Perrotti, Andrew James Perrotti (and his fiancée, Erika Terencio), and Brian Christopher Perrotti; as well as his brother Richard Perrotti.

John gained an appreciation for plants while growing up on his family's Cheshire farm. He later became a sales representative for nursery stock. He helped many Cheshire residents source various plants and trees and had a patio full of beautiful flowers each summer.

He took great pride in being a long-time resident of Cheshire. He was a 1960 Cheshire High School graduate and remained close friends with many of his classmates throughout the years. John believed in giving back to his community and served multiple terms on the Town Council.

John had a larger-than-life personality and started conversations with just about anyone he met. He had strong faith and attending church was a priority in his life. Pat was the center of John’s world, and their marriage of over 60 years was his greatest blessing. He loved his family and friends, but being Grampa to his three grandsons was the highlight of his life. He was incredibly proud of them, and he and Pat loved attending their games and functions when they were younger and spending much time with them.

John loved a good meal and conversation, and hosted many Sunday meals and holiday gatherings around the dining room table with family and friends. He loved celebrating all holidays with his family, especially making wreaths for Christmas and decorating with lights on his shed in the backyard. He also enjoyed his time with friends, whether it was traveling, going out to dinner or hanging out at The Notch.

John will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity, and the deep love that he had for his family.
